Kenneth E. (Ken) Moorhead, COL., US Army-Ret; Associate Librarian, Emeritus, Eastern Connecticut State University; retiring in 1997. Retired from the Army in 1985 after some 36 years service that included almost nine years of RA enlisted service, from 1948 to 1957.
Korean War veteran, 1950 to 1951; served as an Admin. NCO in Headquarters, 7th Inf. Div., Korea; Personnel Sgt., Headquarters, Connecticut Military District, Hartford, CT, from late 1951 to 1953. Graduated from the US Army Language School (Japanese) in 1955 and served in the Army CIC as an S/A in Japan from 1955 to 1957.
Commissioned 2nd Lt., Army Reserve in 1956 and at the end of his RA enlistment reverted to the Reserve in 1957, serving in various US East Coast CIC and MI reserve units until retirement in 1985, commanding two of them.
Education: BA (1969) and MA (1970) in History, University of Connecticut; Command and General Staff College Diploma in 1978. Resident in the Albuquerque area since 2001.
