Commemoration of Korean Cold War

A wreath will be placed at the Korean Cold War kiosk on 21 March to commemorate
the cease fire  made by troops who served in the military during the Cold War. The Cold War lasted from 2 September 1945 (the following date of surrender by the Japanese on the USS
Missouri) to the 26 December 1991 (the day the Soviet Union ceased to exist the Berlin
wall came down). The House of Representatives unanimously approved HR 900 on 21
March 2010. Three hundred eighty-two Americans were killed by hostile action during
the Cold War. The National Colors will be displayed at the Cold War kiosk on this date.
There will be no ceremony.
